[edit]I am not an expert on early '90 celebrities or the events taking place in the video. If you have much knowledge reagrding what is covered in the video, please help me out!
Reception
[edit]Should there be a section on how this song affected Brooks' reputation? I remember reading somewhere that some more conservative country fans were upset with what they saw as this song's embrace of gay tolerance. In addition, Washington Times columnist Samuel T. Francis was fired from the paper after making racist comments, which included sliming Brooks over "that stupid universalist song in which we all intermarry".
