Age
how old are they?
- Late 20s.
Discography
EPS. - 'The Wolfs Hour', 'In Action' (released Oct 2003) and 'Bitching' (released Oct 2002) Albums - 'With Love and Squalor' and 'Safety Fun and Learning (in that Order)' (released April 2002) We Are Scientists have almost 'disowned' there previous music though, no mention of it on the site. I'm 100% sure that I'm right though - given that i own them all :) Some day I'll meet them... Seeing them 11/04/2006 in Cambridge *crosses fingers* Hejog 14:12, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Name
The Name section has this line: "As he was trying to make polite conversation with the three bespectacled college graduates, he first asked if they were all brothers." I don't think that's quite correct. They couldn't have been college graduates when they came up with the name because they played several parties at the Claremont Colleges while they were still students under the name "We Are Scientists." is there any link to their name being inspired from the song by cap'n jazz?
I think that whole name thing needs a citation, especially for the quote. Emperorchaos (talk) 14:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
if anyone on wikipedia cares about the truth anymore. the name is inspired by the cap n jazz song. the story was a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.201.52.110 (talk) 03:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Big ole' redesign
I rewrote the name anecdote, and put it under the Triva heading. I moved the album art anecdote to the With Love and Squalor article because it's kind of hard to understand the story when you don't even know what the album art looks like.
My question: Are "Bitching" and "Inaction" albums, or singles? They are a bit too long to be singles, yet way too short to be albums. If they are albums, I want to add them to the new discography. It looks kind of skimpy as is.
All in all, it's a lot shorter, but I think the quality is better. It's not perfect, but it's better.
Anyone have any suggestions?

- I'm pretty sure everything before With Love and Squalor are just EP's they've released. Can 11:11, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Removing Redirect from Chris Cain Page
I've removed the redirect to We Are Scientists from the Chris Cain page. Chris Cain is a well-known blues and jazz musician who deserves his own entry on Wikipedia. No offense intended against the bass player of We Are Scientists.

- Ok, I changed the link in the article, now "Chris Cain" points to Chris Cain (We Are Scientists).--Doktor Who 22:59, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Duplication of content
Loads of stuff from the main article e.g. James Blunt comment is in the Triva section as well. I propose this be removed from the trivia section if found elsewhere in the article. Robthebob 00:58, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:With-love-and-squalor.jpg
Image:With-love-and-squalor.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Incorrect picture.
Those of the picture "We Are Scientists playing in Montreal, Canada, in 2006" are not the members of the band... Tell me if i'm wrong.. --200.109.50.71 01:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Crap?
Am I the only one who sees the article starts with "We Are Scientists are crap is an American..."? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.202.116.63 (talk) 04:09, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Record Company
They aren't an "indie rock" band if they're signed to Virgin Records. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgray2 (talk • contribs) 23:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. -- Petorial (talk) 13:04, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- This is quite clearly the case. Can anyone even attempt to argue otherwise? -- Whitenoise00 12/10/08
- Indie and Indie rock are not the same thing. They both have their own wikipedia articles. Indie refers to bands/artists signed to independent labels, indie rock is a genre of music, usually referring to bands that either ARE or were PREVIOUSLY signed to independent labels, or who self-released their material.§ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.45.239 (talk) 14:14, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I figure they're still an indie rock group, since even the wikipedia article covering indie rock says its between both the sound, and who they're signed to. Would that mean death is technically not indie anymore either? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.12.47.50 (talk) 00:19, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
POV & Citations
I think stating ones are attractive is not suitable within Wikipedia. Also some information had not been cited. -- Petorial (talk) 13:04, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Key ENGVAR#AmE question.
"We Are Scientists is [...]"? Seriously? 84.203.39.33 (talk) 07:45, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
