Lead and infobox
  • I would remove “including” from the sentence (It was released on September 14, 1989 by Columbia Records on multiple formats, including on 7", 12", cassette, and CD.) as it implies there were other formats. Unless I missed something while reading the article, it appears that this song was only released on 7", 12", cassette, and CD. I would suggest simplifying the sentence to (It was released on September 14, 1989 by Columbia Records on 7", 12", cassette, and CD.).
  • In this phrase (he and Warren debated singers that would sing their work well), I think you are missing a word. I think that (he and Warren debated what singer that would sing their work well) or something along those lines would work better.
Background and release
  • Great work here. I could not find anything to improve.
Writing and production
  • In the caption for the Bolton image, I would include the year in which it was taken.
  • I am not sure if the quote "perfect match” is entirely necessary. I think you can paraphrase this part.
Reception
  • Just a clarification question, but did William Ruhlmann provide any further reasoning behind why he felt the song was out-of-place on the track list. If not, then it is fine as it stands, but I was just curious if there was more on this point.
Promotion
  • For this phrase (Overall, it served as Streisand's first video), I would clarify “video” as “music video”.
