Characters vs Cast list

In this edit a well-meaning IP editor boldly converted the character list to a cast list. I'm opposed to this because the cast list is not inherently better, a character list, once fleshed out, tends to be a better vehicle for information about the characters, whereas cast lists tend to remain empty, and instead invite a lot of crufty additions from editors who find it worthwhile to start listing every voice an actor performed, rather than focusing on the most important characters. Oh, also they converted it to a cast table, which is not consistent with normal MOS:TV#Cast formatting. We don't use tables for this stuff. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:29, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
