The small boat used by Bass and Flinders was named "Tom Thumb"(sometimes called Tom Thumb II) This was a larger boat then the first Tom Thumb, used to explore the Georges River. Although Flinders recorded (some 14 years after the event) that the Tom Thumb was a very small boat - conmen scents would suggest it was about 16 foot long. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.5.247 (talk) 21:46, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
