[edit]On April 25, 2007, an anonymous user using a computer with the IP address 24.232.35.8 added the following information to this article without providing a source: "There was a further price increase in 2007. The price of water rose by 1,000% from one day to the next. Some small houses in La Barra have a water bill higher than u$s 500 per month. The prices in Punta del Este are higher than anywhere in Uruguay (and most of South America) where the local government heavily taxes the property owners in this exclusive seaside community." Information about water bills of more than US$ 500 per month for individual residential homes si unlikely to be true. So are price increases of 1000%. The information has thus been deleted until evidence is provided about the accuracy of the statements made.--Mschiffler 02:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Update request
[edit]Some information in the article, such as data on access, are based on outdated reports by the JMP of the UN from 2004. I would suggest updating the figures in the table with UN data from 2010 in the Uruguay country files contained in the following list:http://www.wssinfo.org/resources/documents.html?type=country_files--Mschiffler (talk) 20:16, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Chlorination
[edit]Could the question of water chlorination be addressed? Is water treated with chlorine? If so, where, in Montevideo? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.4.122.78 (talk) 21:50, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
