  • Why it should be changed: Out of date

Just to confirm, this request came from me. I am an employee of The Watches of Switzerland Group plc and am keen for the Wikipedia page reflecting my company to be up to date, but am unable to edit myself given the conflict of interest. Thanks WOSGIR (talk) 08:09, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: Hi, If you would like to suggest specific updates to the article text, based on the references you cite, then please do so. Unfortunately volunteers are not going to do this work for you. Please note, however, that independent sources are preferred to the subject's own website. Axad12 (talk) 12:55, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Axad12 - please find some suggested edits below:
"The Watches of Switzerland Group plc is a British retailer of Swiss watches and luxury jewellery, with 221 stores in the UK, US and Europe, spread across the Watches of Switzerland, Mappin & Webb, Goldsmiths, Mayors and Betteridge brands. The 221 figure includes 96 dedicated mono-brand boutiques in partnership with Rolex, OMEGA, TAG Heuer, Breitling, TUDOR, Audemars Piguet, Grand Seiko, BVLGARI and FOPE." <Ref: WATCHES OF SWITZERLAND GROUP PLC WOSG Our story - Stock | London Stock Exchange>
We can then keep in place the next couple of sentences about headquarters, LSE and FTSE 250.
I'll have a think about the 'History' section as this will require a bit more of a rework.
Thanks very much for all your help, and do please let me know if the above suggested entry hasn't been reworded enough from the source material. Tokyocop (talk) 08:11, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that we already have articles on Mappin & Webb, Goldsmiths, and Mayor Getz so there is no need to repeat anything about those businesses here. Dormskirk (talk) 13:04, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have added the bit about the 221 stores to a new "operations" section as, per WP:LEAD, the lead should be a summary of the article. I have also expanded the Goldsmiths article. Dormskirk (talk) 09:33, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
