Soon...

Holy crow, nothing for eight months and now suddenly three on review at once? I wouldn't have caught this if I didn't have the talk page watchlisted. I will try my best to help out with this but I will entrust Yeepsi with the bulk of the review for now if it comes sooner rather than later, as I have three GANs open. dannymusiceditor oops 16:56, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyMusicEditor: It's holidays here in Germany, and I took some more GANs on review, but I didn't realize three were from the exact same user lol. I will give you extra time if needed, but perhaps Yeepsi will also help you as you said. Greets; Cartoon network freak (talk) 18:59, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh don't worry, it's not all your fault, others are reviewing my other two album GANs. dannymusiceditor oops 19:26, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyMusicEditor: Oh, ups lol aha ... Greetings; Cartoon network freak (talk) 19:33, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Cartoon network freak: Are you ready to do this soon? I have cleared one of said three active GANs from my list, finished a long overdue GAR, and can now handle this after this being reserved a month ago. dannymusiceditor oops 00:50, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I'm very sorry for this review being pushed back so much, but I've been really busy lately with projects, thus unable to do much on Wikipedia. I hope I can get to this in two weeks when my schedule looks better. Again, I'm very sorry but I hope you understand... Greetings; Cartoon network freak (talk) 19:58, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
All I needed was an update. Thank you! dannymusiceditor oops 02:48, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyMusicEditor: Hi! I'm just wondering... what makes Kludge and Punknews.org reliable sources? I see they're really used extensively in the article. Greetings; Cartoon network freak (talk) 19:52, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Cartoon network freak: please see WP:ALBUM/SOURCE, where both are listed as acceptable. dannymusiceditor oops 14:52, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @DannyMusicEditor: It's been another week and I decided to let an admin close this review. As unfortunate as it is, I'm simply too busy in private life to do this, and leaving this review open and unaccessible for other reviews isn't the best option either. I'm very sorry, and I hope you can understand. Hope another one'll pick this up soon... Best regards; Cartoon network freak (talk) 18:23, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New reviewer

[edit]

Very good, apologies for the delay in starting the review.

Images look good, valid FUR for the album image.

  • Missing a verb While this happening,
  • I think it should be was per this unless our MOS contradicts: the group were contacted (the same for all the other instances of 'group were' I think)
  • Maybe use had after they? Maybe not...sounds weird to me still. Ideas on making the transition into the quote smoother? friends that they "gotten ourselves
  • Also, on the same quote, per the logical quotation rules the period should be in the quotation marks since the actual quote ends there.
  • Added? He add, "I feel like all the stress is reflected in the way the album sounds."
  • Don't think you need that comma All of the music was written by Thursday, except
  • Reword this: "while also put their own twist on music they were listening to at the time."
  • Maybe change "talking about" to "referring to" Talking about the title-track
  • Should cliffside be capitalized? Is that a word or should it be a hyphenated word or something..? fell off a Cliffside

I reviewed to the Release section and will finish this weekend I hope. Looks good so far. Kees08 (Talk) 07:05, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done all so far. Yeepsi (talk) 08:05, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lot of quotes here, maybe don't need the last sentence? Keeley said that upon showing their label the album, he was unsure how they would react to it. He said that "for the most part it was a very positive" reaction.[19] He added that it was "a very reassuring thing" when they wished to play it "over and over again a couple times in a row"
  • Missing a word In addition, performed at the Field Day and Hellfest festivals.
  • The talk page said something about the War All the Time music video not being allowed on MTV I think, is anything like that true?
I couldn't find a RS for it when I searched a while back, so I'm not sure if this actually happened or was just rumours. Yeepsi (talk) 09:04, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find anything either. All I see is that MTV helped their rise to fame which contradicts them banning the video. Kees08 (Talk) 06:31, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Three sentences in a row start with "In (month)..", mix it up some: In January 2004
Done all. Yeepsi (talk) 09:04, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • The group? He also said that he group created an album that
  • Three sentences in a row start the same By April 2004
  • This reads like it came off the booklet, which would not work for copyright reasons, so just checking that it differs from the booklet: All music written by Thursday, except "This Song Brought to You by a Falling Bomb", which was written by Andrew Everding and Thursday. All lyrics written by Geoff Rickly.
Yeah, it's different from how the booklet lists it. I can type up the exact wording from the booklet for comparison if needs be.

Yeepsi (talk) 14:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nah, I trust you. Kees08 (Talk) 06:56, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lower case booklet War All the Time (Booklet). Thursday. Island Records. 2003. UICY-6303.
  • Is consistent date formatting too much for GA? I don't recall. If it is; consistent date formatting. If it isn't, then don't worry about it.
If you mean the 2003-01-23 that would be due to the Internet Archive tool changing the formatting for whatever reason. I've fixed it now. Yeepsi (talk) 14:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are two War all the Time Booklet citations, combine
They're two different versions: UICY-6303 is the Japanese version (to help verify the Japanese bonus tracks); 9860874 is the EU/UK version. Yeepsi (talk) 14:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I figured there was a good reason, thanks. Kees08 (Talk) 06:56, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think that should be it. Great article so far, I listened to a lot of bands like them but for some reason never got into them. Seem pretty good listening to it now though. Kees08 (Talk) 06:31, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Yeepsi (talk) 14:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry that I never noticed this. I've been away learning what a beautiful thing a ranked video game can be with the right partners. Is everything resolved? dannymusiceditor oops 18:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That should be everything, no worries. Yeepsi fixed things pretty much the second I posted them, great response time! I will promote to GA at this time. If you ever have a reviewer drop out or have similar issues, feel free to ping me in the future. I do not do as many album GA article reviews as I used to, but happy to step in if needed from time to time. Kees08 (Talk) 06:56, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
