Talk:War's inefficiency puzzle
Appearance
Quality of section "Issue of Contention"
[edit]I cannot find the quote attributed to Hegel via Google. It is not on the page provided in the article text. IMHO, the remainder of the section section entitled "Issue of Contention", including references to "sexual variables" appears out of the blue with respect to the rest of the article. It is currently:
- While some political scientists agree with Fearon's approach, there is a segment that remains otherwise unconvinced. His quantitative approach seems to leave out many important psychological, cultural, social and sexual variables which could play an important role. As Hegel once said "Life is like a pastry, made up of various ingredients, but once put together one cannot separate those ingredients. (1.)"
Should we remove the section, pending improved text? —Quantling (talk | contribs) 19:38, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- I will make a Wikipedia:BRD edit to get this discussion going. —Quantling (talk | contribs) 22:32, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
