What is this, an advert for the Film? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.209.181.185 (talk) 19:44, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since an editor just asked for a reasoning for the tags I placed on the article, I came here to give one, but I see the issue has been around since October 2009. The synopsis is written like an advertisement by the film-makers; in fact, it's almost hard to believe it hasn't been copy-pasted from a movie review site. I'm restoring the tags now, since the issues are pretty blatant. KaySL (talk) 16:00, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I do agree that the tone of the synopsis maybe a bit inappropriate, but how does this come under advertisement. References are provided for all box office figures and other things and I am sure nothing is a copy paste here. I don't understand how is this an advert? And what's this "in-universe" tag for? You didn't explain about it. Managerarc[Talk] 16:21, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It comes under advertisement because the synopsis sounds like something right off a promotional site or article, like what you'd expect from your average official movie site. Though perhaps the advertisement aspect is borderline, the tone is definitely way off and needs changing, therefore I've tagged it as such. As for the in-universe aspect, again the synopsis is written with a complete lack of context and lacks a real-world frame of reference. I think once the tone is dealt with, the other issues will fall away at the same time. KaySL (talk) 16:29, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As the plot have been re-written, I don't find any problem with the tone now. Managerarc[Talk] 11:49, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it looks a fair bit better now, so I've removed the problem templates. Nice job. KaySLtalk 15:25, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tagged for advert

[edit]

I've tagged this as 'written like an advert' as the plot section is quite biased (e.g. "... is a hardcore gangster who will do anything for money"), but I haven't seen the film, so wouldn't be able to summarise it. — Sasuke Sarutobi (talk) 01:14, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
