I am working on gathering more informacion for writors in the watch industry who are connected with the International Watch Guide Jewelry Guild [1] and are waiting for a little informaction. I'm making several corrections to this article. The 1857 model Waltham was actually made much earlier than 1857-it can be traced back to 1852. Also, not all M57 Walthams were stemwind! Finally, while Lincoln did own an M57 Waltham, the famous "secret message" watch was not his Waltham but was a watch of English made carrying a private label for a Springfield, Ill. jeweler(this watch is in the Smithsonian). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.1.134.173 (talk) 04:00, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
