Accuracy

[edit]

Some of that is false. You state "He also collaborated with his former Gorilla Biscuits bandmates in the pop-punk band CIV, where he wrote all of the songs on the album Set Your Goals."

How is the possible when one song actually says in the beginning of the song "Luke from Warzone wrote it"?!

Get your facts straight.

This website, http://www.bedlamsociety.com/articles.asp?articleID=71&title=Sitting+Around+at+Home+with+Walter+Scheifels , has an interview where he takes credit for writing it all.
C.R.C.: It is said that you were heavily involved in writing Set Your Goals, the first record by CIV.
Walter: Yeah, I wrote the whole thing.
C.R.C.: You are credited as the producer along with Don Fury. So you wrote the whole record as is?
Walter: I wrote the whole record. There are some things that I didn’t…there was one song that Charlie wrote…some riff on it. There was like bits and pieces that Charlie wrote for sure. I thought at the time that it would be lame for them to come out and have all the songs written by someone who’s not in the band. I just thought it would come off as lame. I wanted them to succeed so I thought I would be kind of cool, and not put my name on it. Which I kind of regret because now as time goes by I really love those songs and I think they’re really good…and I don’t get like…credit is maybe not important in terms of like getting my ass kissed for it, but I think it has that much more depth. I would want people to look into that, hear that stuff and recognize the connection between that and Walking Concert in a way you know? Because there’s pop songs on the CIV record and the Walking Concert record has more of those pop elements to it. CIV was kind of meant to be the Gorilla Biscuits record that never happened in a way with more poppy “fun-ness” to it.

There also seems to be information on other sites about him producing the album, but no mention of him contributing material. I don't what's true and what's not, just thought I'd add to the discussion.--Skeev 20:21, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
