Notability of Walkers are Welcome
[edit](transcribed from User talk:86.159.100.127 and User talk:Catfish Jim and the soapdish)
Could please explain your reasoning for the removal of the notability template as the article clearly comes nowhere near the requirements for WP:ORG? 86.159.100.127 (talk) 15:41, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- Read the requirements for WP:ORG, particularly WP:CLUB. This organisation is national in scale and supported by multiple reliable, independent, non-trivial sources. Catfish Jim and the soapdish (talk) 15:51, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- "supported by multiple reliable, independent, non-trivial sources." Such as? 86.159.100.127 (talk) 19:28, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- They were covered by BBC Radio 4's You and Yours program, are frequently mentioned on the BBC news website, as well as in a number of broadsheet newspapers. Catfish Jim and the soapdish (talk) 06:14, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Mere mentions in the media and on websites (BBC or otherwise) amount to little more than promotional pap and do not provide the depth required to support an encyclopaedic article. I shall restore the notability template to encourage other editors to provide acceptable references. 86.159.100.127 (talk) 12:21, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- The subject has appeared in multiple newspapers. That's not promotional, and there appears to be little doubt about its notability. If you feel that it is not notable enough to warrant its own article, try taking it to AfD. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 17:12, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

- Note that I have just removed the notability problem template, as there seems little doubt about this article's notability, given the numerous newspaper sources and radio coverage. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 17:15, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
