Pop-rap
[edit]This is undoubtedly a pop-rap song. Stop reverting it to hip-hop. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blsupr (talk • contribs) 23:15, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- First off, sign your comments, second, genres must be sourced. You can't just added a genre because you think that "this is undoubtedly a pop-rap song." On Wikipedia, genres should not be based off your opinion or my opinion. They should be supported by reliable sources. Stop adding pop-rap without a source! Nice attitude you have there bud. Since when are genres sourced? ~~nope~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blsupr (talk • contribs) 08:10, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
Genres have always needed a source. They are not supposed to be based of the opinion of the editor. That would fall under original research. Bowling is life (talk) 13:20, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
Why did no one capitalize the first genre? That's giving me an aneurysm. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Souljia 1991 (talk • contribs) 20:33, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
Also, I agree with the other guy who thinks this is pop-rap. There are definitely elements of pop-rap in the song, but still, please cite appropriate sources. Souljia 1991 (talk) 20:35, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
Missing top 10 on Billboard
[edit]This is not up for debate. All of his other lead singles charted in the top 10 except "Just Don't Give a Fuck" in 1999. It is sourced with his complete chart history. Another editor already agrees. The two of you fanboying and trying to get me blocked for providing information with a reliable source is ridiculous. The only people edit warring are the ones erasing information from the commercial performance section. BlaccCrab (talk) 00:02, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Unless I'm missing something a good few of his songs haven't reached Top 100 (Mockingbird, You dont know, mockingbird, Superman, Survival, Beautiful etc etc etc) so I honestly fail to see why this would need to be mentioned ? .... Also can we stop with the "fanboy" bs - I like the rapper and I like the song but that doesn't mean I'm bias on what's included and not included. –Davey2010Talk 00:08, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- You've taken things the wrong way, BlaccCrab, and your addition violated WP:SYNTH. See my comments here for details. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:12, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- "Mockingbird" is not a lead single, it is a fifth single. "Superman" is a third single, again, not a lead single. "Survival" is a second single. "Beautiful" is a fifth single. You're providing literally no retort whatsoever. Good talk. BlaccCrab (talk) 00:13, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- As I noted in the diff given above, his US song chart history link doesn't make any distinctions between what charted songs were/weren't singles or say which albums they were from, so you went against WP:SYNTH by using it to make an assertion that it didn't state or even suggest. In case it wasn't already clear, you cannot just presume songs are singles solely because they charted. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:21, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Grasping at straws, at it's absolute finest. Billboard doesn't tell you which charting songs were lead singles (even though wikipedia does) so you want to dismiss the information, when you both know it's his first lead since SSLP not to crack top 10 just by glimpsing at his discography page for 2 minutes. BlaccCrab (talk) 00:36, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Using other Wikipedia pages as references is inappropriate per WP:CIRCULAR; such a claim would need to be backed by a citation specifically noting it was the first lead single in a while not to reach the US top 10. Even if that assertion was adequately backed up, I fail to see how it's worth including when many other songs of his didn't reach the top 10 either, so it doesn't exactly look like due weight. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:42, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry I hadn't realised the "lead" part but I do agree with Snuggums this IMHO is nothing more than Synth. –Davey2010Talk 00:29, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Revert regarding this and several other Eminem articles
[edit]I and at least one other editors reverted the addition of a track listing by a person using a dynamic IP. This is a dispute that has affected at least two other Eminem articles. See River (Eminem song) and Nowhere Fast (Eminem song). In both instances, discussions were opened on the respective talk page but ignored by the IP editor. Notices directing the IP to the discussion were also placed on the IP's talk pages, but we're ignored. I'm placing this note here to explain the background of the reversion, and note that the editors reverting the IP's edits are doing so because the track listing is redundant. I'm also giving the IP yet another chance to respond, but I also have little confidence that they will. Aoi (青い) (talk) 04:58, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Aoi: I have summited Nowhere Fast (Eminem song) to WP:RPP due to persistent vandalism from this IP user. If edit warring continues on this page, consider sending it to RPP as well, since the user has shown no willingness to stop or discuss. Hayman30 (talk) 07:18, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
