Name
[edit]Can this be moved to a less ambiguous name? There are plenty of Walerans in medieval France and England, so this should probably be a disambiguation page. Adam Bishop (talk) 05:42, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- It probably should be, but I'm not at home so can't double check to see if there are other names besides "Waleran, Bishop of Rochester" or its variants that might work. Feel free to move it if you want. Ealdgyth | Talk 06:32, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think "Waleran, Bishop of Rochester" would be better. There are others that look odd too...like "John (bishop)". I guess everything points to the right place, but imagine seeing that in an index, that could be hundreds of people! Maybe we should distinguish all of them by bishopric. - The odd names come from when the various ways folks had redlinked articles on the bishops lists. I was still starting out when I used those lists, so I didn't change as many as I should have. Making them consistent is one of the goals, it's just going to take some time for me to get around to it. And to be honest, I have not been sure what exactly form I should go to. Given the current disputes over naming kings, I just didn't feel like opening a big can of worms! I'll be home late tonight, so things will have a better chance of getting done. Thanks to Srnec for changing this! Ealdgyth | Talk 06:31, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
