Introduction
[edit]Three theories of the salad's invention, one of which (invented in the early 20th C) contradicts two others (which mention 1896.) Any light to shed on this, anyone? Nach0king 21:33, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Recipe
[edit]Why is this in the US format of cups etc. What is a cup? A demi tasse or a mug? Are we allowed to convert this this the universally understood metric system? 86.133.237.35 11:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

- No it isn't. It's about 237ml. I wouldn't have bothered to mention it except for the fact that it is a significant difference IMO. By extrapolation, a pint (2 cups) of beer is noticeably less to the beer drinker than a half-literPithecanthropus4152 (talk) 03:28, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

Celery
[edit]There are recipes using the celery root or celery stems. The current article is not clear on what the original recipe declares or on the discrepancies of the ingredients. Could someone improve on the article? Theking2 (talk) 16:36, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
Illustration
[edit]The picture at the top purporting to be a Waldorf Salad is merely some insane, overpaid chef's abstract design and is obviously not meant for eating, only looking at. I've been eating and making Waldorf for 50+ years. This ain't it. PLEASE -- someone find a good non-copyrighted photo to replace this monstrosity! --Michael K SmithTalk 21:20, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
The illustration is just hilariously pretentious nonsense! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.171.232.229 (talk) 23:17, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- Since I agreed, and there were two good photos of "typical" Waldorf salads in Commons, I was bold and went ahead and changed the photo. 74.240.193.23 (talk) 16:41, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
According to the text, grapes are not part of the main ingredients of a "typical" Waldorf salad. It would be better if a picture without grapes was inserted. Monniker (talk) 16:08, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
