@Ritchie333: See anything particularly hooky? Not sure I really have any bright ideas. GMGtalk 13:40, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

... that Waiting for Eden has helped Elliot Ackerman become "one of the best soldier-writers of his generation"? Can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:45, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I wasn't really coming up with much that shouldn't properly be a hook about Ackerman and not really about the book. I may wait for a couple days and give the big papers time to catch up with a book that's only been out about twelve hours now. GMGtalk
It's a bit like Catherine Kerrison that I put up for DYK a few days ago, I scrambled for a few quotations but nothing much else. In that case, the DYK was more "hey, we all rescued an article from CSD, look at us go" rather than a desire to put anything "hooky" on the main page. Eh. More that if I find a book I figure is good enough sounding that I intend to read it, then I figure it's interesting enough for the main page. But after six, soon to be seven DYKs, I don't seem to be getting all that much better at coming up with compelling hooks. GMGtalk 14:37, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think I'll ever top this. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:42, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
