Unbalanced opinion
[edit]- In actuality, WXOU really sucks.[neutrality is disputed] Classical music and the occasional jazz notwithstanding, WXOU has a highly developed talent for consistently playing the most insufferable crap ever recorded, with a consistency and efficiency to rival the United States Army. Entire graduating classes have reported ‹The template Talkfact is being considered for merging.› [citation needed] devoting as much as 15% of their time to planning station sabotage to stop the horrid pseudo-music broadcasts blasting through the Oakland Center.
I put back this critical opinion because, while it may be POV, it is relevant opinion of, at least, the author, and possibly a significant proportion of the student audience. Besides, I like the way it is said, as it seems to describe a lot of student operated radio. Simply removing the paragraph makes the article poorer. I think leaving it makes the article better. The article could be made better still if the other side was also presented, by someone who likes listening to the station, at least some of the time. Because the above paragraph tells me the critic who wrote this does like listening to the station but is in denial about that. I want to understand why. -- Cameron Dewe 21:50, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Like most any college station, station staff and the college listening audience are very volatile with every academic year seeing a significant portion of the respective bodies incoming freshmen or leaving as graduates. In that since, this opinion above is not worth including as-is. Possibly, it could be of interest if cited in a published source somewhere as it could then be dated to that time's staff and programming as well as intended listening audience.
