Logo
Can someone please change the logo to the one that is displayed at WWE/ECW.com The one now that says Extreme Championship Wrestling under it is wrong. That 1 isnt on ECW.com or on ECW on Sci Fi. ----Belevsquad 10:26, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Um, did you check http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/? That is the same logo, it's just that the picture quality here makes it look a little darker. I would love if someone could find a better quality one though. TJ Spyke 01:07, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
I have tried the one on ECW.com and i try uploading it but a message tells me that there's something wrong with it -----Belevsquad 03:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Criticism
ECW has been mentioned in many worst of 2006 summarizations and has fallen under harsh criticism by online (and offline) fans due to the supposed poor quality of the product. I think this is an important aspect of ECW and should be mentioned in the article -----Eboogyman 10:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- It is
- While the show has been a ratings success for both Sci Fi Channel and WWE, it has drawn criticism from some fans of the original ECW and critics in the Internet wrestling community. This was evidenced by the negative crowd reaction "old school" fans gave the main event of Batista vs. Big Show at the August 1, 2006 show from Hammerstein Ballroom.[6][7].
- Much more than that would be POV.«»bd(talk stalk) 16:12, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Ratings
I am not involved with this dispute, but there seems to be a disagreement about whether the ratings/criticism should be included. Please discuss the issue here rather than removing/adding it over and over. TJ Spyke 22:48, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- And that's all I want. For clarification the disputed content is this:
- While the show started out a ratings success for both Sci Fi Channel and WWE, it began drawing criticism from fans of the original ECW and critics in the Internet wrestling community early on. This was most evident by the negative crowd reaction "old school" fans gave the main event of Batista vs. Big Show at the August 1, 2006 show from Hammerstein Ballroom followed by a number of negative "reviews" as the weeks stretched on.
- It's been removed as both not notable and a review. It's certainly not a review by any stretch (though it does link to two as cites), it's an honest documenting of the reaction the show received and it's fall from grace. Reaction sections are common enough in articles, and there's no reason it shouldn't be allowed to stand. «»bd(talk stalk) 02:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Criticism
I think there should definatley be a criticism page --68.45.100.226 00:18, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Why? Because you don't like it? That's not how it works.«»bd(talk stalk) 00:20, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Change Page title
I think we should change the name of this article from Extreme Championship Wrestling (WWE) to WWE Extreme Championship Wrestling. Any thoughts? I just see it better that way as all the WWE brands on Wiki have WWE infront of the brand name. (WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, WWE Heat). Things like that. ----Belevsquad 05:50, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- When was the first time you've ever heard WWE refer to the ECW brand as WWE ECW? -- bulletproof 3:16 22:08, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Belve, the reason those other shows have "WWE" in front of their name is because those are the names of the show. It's WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (not Friday Night SmackDown!). TJ Spyke 22:13, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Belevsquad. it should be called that, because in reality its WWECW. not ECW.--Dr. Pizza 22:13, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- 1)That is your opinion, not fact. 2)"WWECW" is a stupid (IMO) meme created by ECW fanboys who are upset that WWE is trying to move forward and not trying to relive the past. I liked the old ECW, but that ECW will never come back. The name of the show doesn't have WWE in it, so calling it that would be factually wrong. TJ Spyke 22:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

name
the name seems to long extreme championship wrestling (wwe) should be shortened to ECW(wwe) 69.207.162.223 19:06, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- This article name is consistent with other Wikipedia articles on wrestling promotions (or brands). In any event, ECW (WWE) already redirects to this article. Jeff Silvers 02:28, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
