I think that a more appropriate listing in the "Broadcast television in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo-Battle Creek/Muskegon area" section of this and similar pages would be:

WTLJ 54 (TCT) with a link to http://www.tct.tv/

rather than:

WTLJ 54 (TBN)

It seems to me that this station is not "an affiliate of the Trinity Broadcasting Network" to the extent that the major commercial networks have "affiliates". WTLJ does broadcast some programming from TBN, but it seems to be more of a cooperative effort between TCT and TBN than a direct relationship between TBN and WTLJ.Ac44ck 06:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Channel Number

[edit]

Apparently, the channel number changed due to this from the Ultra high frequency article:

In 2009, as part of the transition from analog to digital over-the-air broadcast of television, the spectrum from 698 MHz to 806 MHz (UHF channels 52–69) was also no longer used for TV broadcasting - Ac44ck (talk) 01:09, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The change is transparent to the viewer:

  • Transmit Channel: 24 530 - 536 MHz Licensed
  • Virtual Channel: 54 (viewer sees this channel number)
Virtual channel:
The most common reason for a television station using a virtual channel is to minimize viewer confusion when a digital transmission is airing on a different channel from the one the station used in analog mode. - Ac44ck (talk) 01:19, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
