Media response
[edit]There is no discussion in the article as to whether this has been greeted as a positive move. Combining what are clearly three tiers of tournament into one strikes me as muddled and confusing. Postlebury (talk) 15:06, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Ordering
[edit]I decided to order the results parts of the article reverse-chronologically, as are all of the ATP World Tour articles like the ATP World Tour Masters 1000. It seems like a better approach, but if anyone disagrees, leave a note on my talk page. SellymeTalk 05:34, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Brisbane International is not a Premier Tournament! It is an International tournament. Regasterios (talk) 22:06, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- It is now a premier event. See Brisbaneinternational.com. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:23, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. Regasterios (talk) 23:35, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
singels matrix a tough read
[edit]As I glance at the singles matrix chart, lets say Wozniaki since she's right at the top, when I read from left to right I'm thinking she should have 20 total titles. Yeah after staring at it awhile I realized the last three columns were simply the breaking down of the premier categories but a novice will be lost because of it. There is no key explaining this and to be honest they are not needed.... simply the totals are fine. They are already coded with purple, blue and green which could be mentioned in a key, plus this chart is already very large with a tiny font. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:34, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Premier 5 in 2015: Dubai or Doha?
[edit]There is a discrepancy in this article: first it says that Doha is Premier 5, not Dubai, but in the colored table Dubai appears as Premier 5, and not Doha. AdiMind (talk) 15:22, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- This chart also has the Season-ending WTA Tour Championships as a premier event when the WTA specifically puts it in a category all it's own (along with the Elite Trophy). Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:06, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
Counting Year-End Championships 2015, 2016...
[edit]Why is there counting titles from Year-End Championships 2015 (Radwańska +1), and 2016 (Cibulková +1), when WTA Finals in these seasons hadn't been played in Premier category? Cheers --Kacir 12:49, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Inaccurate stats / information
[edit]Wrongly, new seasons are being still added into this article despite the fact that the "WTA premier" system has been abolished and replaced already, multiple years ago. The information on this page is therefore a misrepresenting of facts. The repetitive bad editing / updating of this page has to stop and the data update should take place in the appropriate page. If the article "WTA 1000 tournaments" doesn't exist then it should (if one has time to update a wrong page then one has time to create a page). The last two or three seasons of the WTA Tour have the new numerical ATP style categorization of tournaments and they belong to another article — just as this article exists instead of the Premier era seasons being continually added into the preceding "Tier I tournaments" article, which is the correct way of editing. Don't mix facts with "what it would have been" kind of fiction. --Loginnigol 13:16, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Loginnigol, I cleaned up this article so the content not pertinent to this page's scope was relocated accordingly or removed. Is it sufficient to remove the cleanup hatnote? Qwerty284651 (talk) 14:15, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

- I pinged you about the reformatting of the wta tour sidebar on the project's talk page. You might want to check it out. Qwerty284651 (talk) 16:31, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
