Rationale for deletion of disambiguation page

[edit]

Per the WP:Disambig page, "If only a primary topic and one other topic require disambiguation, then disambiguation links are sufficient, and a disambiguation page is unnecessary." Since the radio station call letters are the primary identification and the acronym for a is a secondary identification, a hat note is sufficient and requires no more steps than would a disambiguation page for people seeking the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. - Dravecky (talk) 07:20, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

... aaand 2 1/2 years later, the disambiguation page returns

[edit]

Now that there are at least four WSSC pages in Wikipedia, I reverted this to a disambiguation page and moved the radio station back to WSSC (AM). I'd bet a lot more people know WSSC as a water company than a radio station (making it the "more primary" usage? I have no idea), and the Wodonga Senior Secondary College disambig link was buried in the radio station article, so this seems to be the best move now to clear up the confusion. Hope it helps. Oops, and I just noticed the two project links on this talk page - I'm moving them over to WSSC (AM) as well. ΨνPsinu 17:32, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
