Fair use rationale for Image:Wpxn.png
[edit]Image:Wpxn.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ==WPXN on channel 12 I noticed that WPXN appears on channels 31.1 through .3 as well as 12.1 through .3 -- can anyone explain what is happening? I thought the station once used RF channel 30 but has since moved back to RF 31. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Martin Diamond (talk • contribs) 05:01, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Post 9/11 Broadcast
[edit]I've replaced the wording that following 9/11 WPXN transmitted from a temporary facility in Northern New Jersey with the actual name of the town. As an FYI to anyone who is interested, the physical address is 416 Eagle Rock Avenue in West Orange, New Jersey. This was the long time home of Channel 68 (WBTB/WTVG/WWHT now WFUT). When Channel 68 moved their offices and studios to West Market Street in Newark both Channel 31 under ownership of Paxson Communications and WNBC-TV Channel 4 owned by NBC moved their backup transmitters into the two floor house. As of May 1st the old house has been demolished and WPXN and WNBC are building a new modern building on the site. Simon Bar Sinister (talk) 06:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Subchannels
[edit]WPXN has the following subchannels: 31.1 ION; 31.2 qubo; 31.3 ION Life; 31.5 AirTV1; 31.6 AirTV2; 31.7 AirTV8; 31.8 AirTV4; 31.9 AirTV30; Only the first three subs have any audio/video. Any word regarding the other subchannels?
Another sub was added, 31.4 ShopTV — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.191.160 (talk) 17:23, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Ion Networks to be Taken over by Scripps if deal is approved
[edit]In September 2020 there is a proposed deal for Scripps and Ion to merged. Note Warren Buffett is named as one of the people backing the proposed deal and WPXN and WPIX are the affected stations in NYC. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:640:C600:3C20:E98A:665F:EF71:8FF1 (talk) 15:37, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
