Format/call letter changes
[edit]It looks like this article, until recently, followed the WXKW calls throughout the country and the FM dial, rather than follow the 97.3FM Millville station throughout its history. Now that it's changed format, the history stays with the frequency and abandons following the letters.
WENJ-AM, by contrast, follows the dial position through its histroy, not its call letters. By comparison/contrast, WFAN does both, with more emphasis on the calls (probably since WFAN has been the same station since its inception, whereas WXKW has been tagged on a number of unrelated stations).
The latest edits do the opposite -- follow the dial position and not the calls - for this reason, I don't think it's appropriate to move the article to WENJ, nor am I comfortable manipulating radio station articles to the extent needed. Does anyone know the Wikipedia protocol for this? This article seems to have been mostly neglected by any Wiki-experts. -Sme3 (talk) 12:34, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've tagged the stuff relating to the other WXKWs as to be split from this article; they have no relevance to this station, particularly since this station isn't even WXKW anymore. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 18:45, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
