Reads excessively promotional
[edit]Article should be toned down, per WP:WTW and WP:NPOV. The Education and studying in Japan section is excessively story-like. Examples: "discovered", "still in their infancy", "found himself". These terms are all unnecessarily flowery and should be substituted for drier terms.
Side note that there is a paid editor disclaimer on User:Theobrad's profile; see WP:CONFLICTOFINTEREST for relevant Wikipedia policy. I'm not alleging at present that there is an explicit COI link between Theobrad and the article's subject, but it's possible. 104.232.119.107 (talk) 19:00, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. I was paid by UoV to work on the articles on Smart City and Computer security. Every other article I have edited on is not paid. I'm happy to change the tone of the W David Marx article. Theobrad (talk) 20:21, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- If you think it's promotional in it's present state you should see what I removed from the personal life section yesterday. It's a doozy...
- "During the pandemic, Marx rekindled his love for making music.[1] He is particularly interested in the use of synthesizers, name-checking niche synth companies in Europe during interviews, such as SOMA Laboratory from Poland,[2] Twisted Electrons from France,[3] and Herbs and Stones from Italy.[4][1] In 2017 under the alias "dj david," Marx released a "mega-mix of Japanese indie club-pop" titled The Best of Shibuya-kei Volume One."
- Has anyone bothered to tell this guy that WP links are no follow. I'm litrally rolling around on the floor right now. Blanes tree (talk) 20:42, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
