Tour dates

[edit]
Resolved

Bjork announced a string of tour dates today (Carnegie Hall, Central City, Governors Ball). ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:55, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done Though, the sources don't actually say "Vulnicura Tour". Do we know there if there is a planned tour by this name? ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:18, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The source that I just added (her official website) mention the "Vulnicura Tour" name :) Fabrictii (talk) 01:37, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, great! Thanks! ----Another Believer (Talk) 04:42, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Leak

[edit]

Well, that's that. There are already many sources talking about the leak, so assuming there is enough information to include in the article we might add a subsection under Release. Also, there may also be a lot of critical reception to add sooner than originally anticipated. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:00, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We should probably wait until the artwork becomes available on sites like Amazon, but some outlets are already sharing the album's cover art. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:34, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I got confirmed by Björk forum's administrator that the reported image is not the cover art, so I think we should waitFabrictii (talk) 23:35, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

Currently there are several genres listed in the inbox. I think we should remove these until sources state a genre or there is at least a critical reception /composition section in which to base the genre. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:44, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suitable genres for this album are electronic, baroque pop, trip hop and experimental, these are recognizable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.77.145.218 (talk) 23:43, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

But according to what reliable source(s)? ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:22, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are you serious? Are you still waiting for some critics who say the genres of this album? Are everyone so psychotic on Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.77.219.39 (talk) 20:48, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Heartbreak album"

[edit]

An article in Pitchfork [1] has a quote from her calling this a "heartbreak album". I would like to know who she broke up with and more details of the break-up. --Viennese Waltz 19:56, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is a reliable source for this now [2] --Viennese Waltz 08:27, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This should be corrected by someone who knows how to edit this site, linking to the Pitchfork article - "Björk said the album expresses her feelings following her breakup with artist Matthew Barney.[citation needed]" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.47.130.201 (talk) 22:29, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]
Yeah I already linked to that article in a section just above. --Viennese Waltz 20:12, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew Barney

[edit]

The breakup that inspired the album was with Matthew Barney specifically. We should mention that. (Sorry this isn't very helpful; I should add it myself, but I'm super-busy right now, so this is a reminder to myself if no one else.) Popcornduff (talk) 21:14, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I already started a section on this subject – see above. --Viennese Waltz 22:44, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'd have changed the "citation needed" already to point to the Pitchfork review, but no idea how to properly use this site :) 12.47.130.201 (talk) 22:31, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Track Listing

[edit]

Currently, the track listing looks clumsy and difficult to follow. Can the Writer-Producer format be used instead, which is the case for the rest of her albums on Wikipedia? It would be clearer and more organized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.77.129.162 (talk) 06:33, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It looked better when there were separate columns for lyrics, music, production. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:50, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I edited it but once again @Livelikemusic: undid it. As you can see the format is not as clear as you assess. It's extremely confusing, like I can't understand who wrote who and who produced what. Fabrictii (talk) 11:21, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Either way, the way you format it is wrong. I'm not going to edit-war with you other it; just know the format I put it is believed to be more acceptable and less redundant. livelikemusic my talk page! 14:34, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I re-edited it to take away redundancy and to be on-par with other musical articles that are known to follow the same format. livelikemusic my talk page! 14:49, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please note, Oddný Eir Ævarsdóttir co-wrote the lyrics to "Atom Dance" not "Mouth Mantra". This will be rectified in the printed booklet. I got the info from Oddny herself. Thanks (Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen, Icelandic journalist, arnareggert@gmail.com, arnareggert.is — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arnart1802 (talkcontribs) 10:46, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Composition

[edit]

The composition section is a bit of a mess, with some original research and unreferenced content. Shall we discuss what parts should be kept or thrown out? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:43, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I keep having a go at rewriting it, then abandoning it. I think a slash-and-burn approach might be in order, because it's hard to tell what's original research and what's actually in the sources it cites. Just starting again with a rigorous approach would probably be less work. Ho hum... Popcornduff (talk) 00:51, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I removed a good chunk. Better to build from the foundation up. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:17, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate album cover

[edit]

Why can't we have the alternate artwork on the page? They keep on deleting it. It's not irrelevant, it's an alternate artwork, and the album is in stores with that artwork as well. --Quaveren (talk) 00:09, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. In fact, the other cover is not even an alternate artwork, it's the official artwork, which was delayed because the album leaked and was released before the planned date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.77.138.163 (talk) 01:48, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

independent songs

[edit]

Why aren't there independent pages for the songs of Vulnicura ? Or at least the singles (Stonemilker, Lionsong, Black Lake, Family and Mouth Mantra I think ?) A lot of Björk's singles and other songs have independent pages so I think it could be relevant. ThibaultGerm (talk) 16:02, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to start new articles, but only if you can prove that the songs meet Wikipedia's notability threshold (see Wikipedia:Notability (music)). There is a section above with links used to redirect songs to the album, which you can click on to expand. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:21, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for answering. I'll check that page about notability that you gave me and try to work on new pages if it's relevant enough. ThibaultGerm (talk) 14:18, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
