Vostok and Vostok Europe are different watch brands. From http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=2618

--cut-- 3. One more thing: Vostok http://vostok-inc.com and Vostok-Europe http://www.vostok-europe.com . These two watch brands are still being mixed up although these are two different watch brands. Vostok or Восток (Russian way) is a typical Russian watch brand produced in Chistopol (Russia/Tartarstan) at the Vostok factory and Vostok- Europe is a brand made by the Lithuanian company Koliz Vostok in cooperation with the Vostok factory.

  • Watches produced by Vostok in Chistopol can be divided into 2 groups: those produced for the domestic market (cheaper and with much lower quality) and export watches – the same watch lines made with better movements and better quality. The former are to get through all Russian companies via Internet or in retail shops in Russia and also by inofficial Internet dealers who buy these watches just somewhere to sell all over the world, the latter (export quality) can only be bought through official Vostok dealers (distributors and authorized dealers) outside Russia.
  • Watches Vostok Europe produced in Lithuania have very high quality that is the same all over the world because Vostok Europe started the watch production with the only aim – to provide the market with inexpensive high quality automatic watches officially distributed all over the world. As we see it works very well!

Vostok Europe should be put it on a new page.

Fair use rationale for Image:Vostoklogo.gif

[edit]

Image:Vostoklogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Boctok/Vostok/Wostok

[edit]

I have seen all these three spellings on Vostok watches. Some also have 'Made in Russia' in English while most I have seen have purely Russian text. Do the different variations indicate different periods of production or models targeting different markets? It would be useful to have this information in the article. --Michig (talk) 18:09, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
