Opted for the Dutch name 'voorcompagnie' because this name is also used in the English literature on this topic, the term pre-companies is sometimes used in the literature, 'VOC pre-companies' could be an option or 'Dutch pre-companies' or 'Pre-companies'. Also some of these individual companies already have a page under their Dutch name. If you can find reliable sources with English names (especially for the individual companies), please redirect these pages. Kind regards.
