[edit]I must disagree with the reversion of the following three things:
- Discogs is user-generated content and therefore fails WP:RS. See WP:RSDISCOGS. (The footnote is also unnecessary, since the claim is already sourced to AMG.)
- The placement of record labels in a discography is neither nonstandard nor unnecessary; it's basic publication data. Perhaps you are used to seeing band pages with separate discography articles, where the main page often has a truncated style with just the album name and date, but in the absence of such a separate article, it's perfectly fine to add label data, chart positions, RIAA certifications, etc. in the discography here.
- The YouTube links fail WP:ELMINOFFICIAL and are borderline promotional. As far as I know, it's not standard practice to include gardens of links to musician videos. Chubbles (talk) 06:24, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Chubbles, I'll address each of your points individually:
- I don't think it's a big deal to use Discogs here and there, but I won't object if you insist on removing the reference.
- I've edited scores of band/artist pages, and I can assure you that the inclusion of label data is less common than you are suggesting. I don't think it's a valuable inclusion, and it clutters up the section, IMO.
- Again, I don't see it as a big deal, but I won't object to removing the external links. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:13, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- The 2nd point was, to my mind, the most important; in order to facilitate a more robust and well-ordered discography, I'll set up a rudimentary table. Perhaps there are many more articles that need such expansion. Chubbles (talk) 04:16, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
