[edit]1) hopelandic/vonlenska was made up by some journo. the band never called it that 2) the co.uk isn't written by the band, it's more like a fansite that's allowed 'official' status as it's best news resource there is 3) the band never phrased the 'lyrics' in () to sound like english. people hear what they want to hear.
i think this article reads too much into some guys scat singing! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.169.130.30 (talk) 16:28, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
how is this a language???
[edit]It seems to me like this is just a name for the gibberish that Jonsi sings. Doesn't it have to have semantics and syntax/grammar to be a language?--Lf1033 03:49, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
How about tying this section with the likes of the Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance, both band employ such a singing style. Reeferboy 10:06, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Other bands have done this before, like Ruins. I'm all for it, I think it's great, but I don't think there needs to be a page over it. This should just be deleted. Arghcodie (talk) 03:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Merge Proposal
[edit]Shouldn't this article be merged into a section of the Sigur Ros article? Zouavman Le Zouave 19:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes! There is no reason for this to be a stand-alone article. Aleta Sing 04:59, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Great! I see that you are a sysop, do you want to proceed on the merging? Looks like it was a good thing I continued to watch the page more than four months after my comment. :-) Zouavman Le Zouave 18:02, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
This article is not notable, and should be on Sigur Rós.
- I've merged the article into Sigur Ros as it notable on its own. --JD554 (talk) 12:36, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
