I saw that the Canadian factory, which Wikipedia also states is the first Volvo-factory outside of Sweden, was opened in 1963. Car assembly took place before that, but those assembly plants were not Volvo-owned. I would think that as the Canadian factory was opened in 1963, it probably is older and therefore the Ghent plant cannot be the first. 81.164.106.236 (talk) 15:39, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- I simply copied that statement when translating the text from Dutch wiki. But it needs (and does not have) a line by line source there. So I've now modified the statement so that I think it is (1) true and (2) consistent with your observation. Please advise if you think the text needs further modification / correction.
