Hi there, I was wondering why this article is in dispute Evalouise1 (talk) 15:13, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- The message boxes describe the problems;
- The article doesn't cite any sources. Wikipedia isn't a place for original research, or for self-promotion. Articles must be backed up by citations of sources (independent of the subject of the article)
- The article fails to prove that the organisation meets our notability criteria. Wikipedia only allows articles that are about notable subjects
- The article isn't "wikified". Wikipedia articles work by providing links to other articles within their text
- The article isn't neutral. It merely describes the organisation as it might describe itself in a favourable light, rather than as an impartial commentary.
- It would appear that the article was created by somebody personally involved. WP:COI explains why this is a bad idea.
- The article is an orphan. No other articles link to it. Wikipedia isn't a place to host isolated pages, it is a place where articles should interlink with each other.
- The tags describe the problems that the article must overcome, and are an indication that it is believed that the article could probably reach the required standard and be retained. Provided that people work on the article to improve it, the tags will gradually become less relevant, and be removed. If the article doesn't get improved over the next couple of months it would probably end up proposed for deletion.
- Hope this helps Mayalld (talk) 15:55, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
