does Adrian (1909) really have only 10 numbered cards in some edition of that book?

... because I'm looking at a scan of it, available at https://www.zobodat.at/pdf/MGSL_45_0001-0160.pdf ,its of Salzburger Volksspiele, Aufzüge und Tänze by Karl Adrian, and the date given for it at https://www.zobodat.at/ is even earlier, 1905. It says very explicitly, at pg 47, Fast ganz in Vergessenheit ist geraten das Spiel mit der Hexenkarte, das sogenannte „Hexeln". Das Spiel bestand aus 32 Blättern; davon hatten 20 Figuren und die übrigen zeigten in großen, roten Ziffern die römischen Zahlen von I bis XII.

Is there then supposed to be an edition of this just a few years later that somehow dropped 2 cards?? That seems really odd, I'm more inclined to believe the wiki article is just incorrect, or maybe the scan of whatever was referenced was accidentally blank or too soft on that spot of the page or some similar scenario. But even if true, it would need contextualizing differently than this article does if another edition of the same book in the same period actually does have the expected 12 numbers. 141.138.35.140 (talk) 10:26, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
