Ratio

[edit]

Dunno where you get the idea of a 1:1 ratio of vodka to Red Bull, but that's ridiculous.

For one, it would not disguise the alcoholic flavour one bit. For another, unless you're drinking half a litre of vodka a night, the Red Bull would have zero effect.

In the UK a can is often served with two measures (commonly 25 or on some occasions 35ml) of vodka. That's roughly 1:10, I believe, so perhaps it was a typo. preceding unsigned comment by Breadandcheese (talk • contribs)

Most clubs serve half-a-can per drink, or less, with single or double shots. So 1:1 is not ridiculous (the redbull does disguise the alcohol quite effectively, but not to alcopop levels), but 1:5 is probably a safer ratio to give. 84.43.94.121 21:47, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From my experience with German pubs, it's usually a 300ml glass containing 250ml Red Bull (1 can) and filled with vodka, i.e. 1:5 -- good enough to taste the burn without diluting the Red Bull flavour or completely negating the upper effect. It's a good way to get moderately drunk without completely clogging your head. — Ashmodai (talk · contribs) 21:43, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Health Risk

[edit]

I created this article to expand on anything the Red Bull article says. But as far as Health Risk is concerned, I really don't know that much, so anyone who is willing to create a Health Risk section can take it away, please. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Runningtherace2024 (talkcontribs) 03:18, 10 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • The detail about "Energy drinks mixed with alcohol: misconceptions, myths and facts" is given undue weight. According to Google Scholar, it has been cited thirteen times. Its methodology also seems suspect; if I'm reading it correctly (a necessary caveat) it is based upon a search of the term "energy drinks and Red Bull" in several article databases, which seems like a very narrow query. I'd find something better, but don't have the time to research right now. J1.grammar natz (talk) 02:32, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

in austria and switzerland it´s illegal to sell alcohol and engery drink in one glass mix up redbull vodka and seven up its the best —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.56.225.166 (talk) 00:57, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name variants

[edit]

Aside from being nearly impossible to read, this entire section is nothing but original research. There are no citations for any of these names, and no assurance that they weren't just made up. Perhaps a few well-known variants can be listed in the first paragraph, but there's no reason to include every single regional variant in this article. --Aurochs (Talk | Block)

Removed some parts

[edit]

Removed some of the immature parts of this article mainly 'running for a bus and sexual intercourse' lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.254.92.181 (talkcontribs) 09:23, 3 March 2009

"In Belgium and the Netherlands, the most common vodka used in Vodka Red Bull is Eristoff Red Vodka[citation needed], which has a sloe berry flavor." I didn't removed this, but I disagree. I'm a drugs educator. 77.165.96.20 (talk) 00:35, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
