[edit]The pic says its from 2007, yet he wears Soviet insignia. How is that possible? Does he get to weart insignia based on his appointment (maybe before 1992?) rather than his rank? 118.90.93.249 (talk) 11:43, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Pic is correct and from 2007 visit to the U.S. Many Russian naval officers choose to wear the insignia under which they took the military oath to serve. Current Russian uniform regulations permit this practice - clearly so, since Masorin was the Navy Commander-in-Chief when the picture was taken during the ceremony awarding him the Legion of Merit.Федоров (talk) 23:34, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
