Can anyone give an accurate quote referring to the fact that the Vlachs are descendants of the Normans and Saxons? The reference literature states that the descendants of the INDIGENOUS Balkan tribes (Illyrians and other tribes). Even if there is this ethnic substratum it is not dominant and cannot be cited before the Illyrians. By the way - there are a number of incorrect or misinterpreted quotations in the text. Also, the chronological dating of the names of some monasteries, ie the first appearance in historical sources, is incorrect. I think it's time to set higher standards for editing Wikipedia. Sources related to the "Holy See" mention schismatic monasteries in Bosnia (14th century - Detlak, Stuplje, Liplje, in Herzegovina there are a number of even older monasteries and in Dalmatia in the 14th century there are monasteries Krupa, Krka, Dragović, and in the 15th century they are mentioned - Rmanj. Then their names are mentioned in Roman sources which means that they must have existed before that). There are other historical sources as well as the names of other monasteries, but I limited myself on this occasion to Roman sources. No less important - it is necessary to point out that the religious division of that time has nothing to do with today's time, which is clearly seen from historical sources. I will cite one very vivid example (of many) - Stefan Nemanja has three sons. One of whom is a Catholic (Vukan) and the other two was Orthodox (Stefan and Rastko). Vukan denounces to the Pope (to his wife's cousin) his uncle Miroslav and cousin Kulin (ban of Bosnia) for supporting Heretics in Bosnia and Hum. This denunciation resulted in an abjuration on Bilino polje. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Dominik Mandić is not a reference for this topic. Quoting his works is the same as quoting Hitler's Mein Kampf in the context of the explained origins of the Jews.109.165.153.243 (talkcontribs) 02:33, 2 September 2021‎ (UTC)[reply]
