Reverting edits

[edit]

J.delanoy. You reverted my edit. I don't think you took the time to review what was written as it clearly was not vandalism, it was useful information about the protein. I have added this back in.

I had also entered the amino acid sequence for the first (of 3) domains. I added the spaces to allow for soft line breaks. I have not added this back in as it looks like random letters, but makes sense to those working with protein sequences. The letters represent amino acids. Perhaps wikipedia does not wish to have protein sequences included (this may be reasonable) so I have posted it below for yourself or another to consider transferring it to the article if it has merit.

Hi there, the reversions of your edits were discussed over here. Thanks for adding back the description of protein structure, and your guess was correct that the protein sequences generally do not appear in Wikipedia articles. Hope you continue editing (and WP:MCB and Portal:Gene Wiki may be of interest to you as well). Cheers, AndrewGNF (talk) 04:04, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like a relative information, and it might make it into the main article if you can provide some reference for that. Also, you will probably have to find a format (box or table or something similar) to make it look better. MaNiAδIs-τάλκ-GuεστBooκ 04:03, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As mentioned above, protein or DNA sequences generally aren't displayed in WP articles about genes or proteins. (I'm sure there's a WP policy that could be cited, but I'm too lazy to look it up now...) Cheers, AndrewGNF (talk) 04:06, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is known about the glycosylation

[edit]

Is it a single O-glycosylation (as implied by Malik2013) ? How consistent is it ? Where and when is it added ? (it may be important as the removal of the sugar seems to convert it into GcMAF). - Rod57 (talk) 13:10, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
