Reason for {{POV}}
[edit]Sounds a lot like marketing material. --S.K. 00:48, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. It's not just the jargon; the low amount of writing and the high number of external links makes it more like an advertisement than an encyclopedia article, in my opinion, so I flagged it for style cleanup. --Craig Stuntz 18:02, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Most SOA-related stuff sounds like marketing material. I don't think this is a problem with this page. --199.243.106.66 16:38, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Virtuoso Universal Server is the name of a Product. As you can see from the footer of the article, it is categorized accordingly. Please note, Virtuoso is a new generation of product that basically set the foundation for what will become the norm (Unified Storage for a variety of Data Models in conjunction with multiple protocol support). The functionality of this product should not be translated (subjectively) as SPAM simply becuase its somewhat unique. --Kingsley_Idehen 17:27, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's spam because you created the software (or at least work for the company that did) and are going around adding links to your product everywhere you can. --waffle iron talk 18:35, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- It seems to be used heavily in the KDE project (second largest opensource project). Article needs fixing, not deleting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.29.138.44 (talk) 15:59, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Please don't remove this entry. I am power user and admin of some knowledge-centric websites and always looking for new technologies (which are very needed!). And this article is very useful not only for product information but also exactly because provides a lot of links! Andrzej Góralczyk, dyrekcja.pl (among others), 11 August 2006
- wikipedia is not a link farm. Providing a lot of links is not a good defence. -- Bovineone 06:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Excessive company links
[edit]I'm tempted to just have one company link - to the company website. The rest of the information is accessible from here (that's up to the company to arrange), and the article should contain everything significant about the system. Multiple links detract from the information which is here by adding clutter. Stephen B Streater (talk) 09:38, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've put the company link in the external links section where it should be. Wikipedia should contain relevant information, not just links to relevant information. Stephen B Streater (talk) 19:35, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
