Seriously?

[edit]

Oh god this is terrible. Sources are pop psychology clickbait or just wild speculation. Find some actual studies done on the topic (if any exist) or delete this nonsense. VR has been a passing fancy time and again for decades. Just because the Oculus Rift and the like are the cool new thing doesn't necessarily imply they will be any more addictive than the Virtual Boy (ouch, migraines). This should honestly start as a section in Video Game Addiction and be expanded upon there before being given its own distinct article. 173.3.10.140 (talk) 12:44, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:MEDRS, without a medical review covering this topic, this article can't even include a lead sentence to describe what a supposed "virtual reality addiction" entails. I've redirected it to a related article instead of flagging it for WP:AFD. If such a review exists or is published in the future, then an article on this topic can/should exist, but not otherwise.
