Mosby Heritage Area Association → Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association – The organization has officially changed their name.[1][2] and they have updated their official website to match. Vahurzpu (talk) 00:32, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Name change
[edit]@Vahurzpu: Regarding your post at the Help Desk about the name change, the article should use the appropriate name for the time period being discussed. Since that is basically the whole article, given the name change is only a few days old, nothing much needs to be changed.
The {{Infobox organization}}
|name=
parameter should be changed to the new name and the old name should be put in an appropriate parameter – maybe |predecessor=
– see the documentation at the link.
I would suggest changing the lead to:
- The Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association (VPHA) is a nonprofit preservation and historic organization in Middleburg, Virginia. Founded in 1995 as the Mosby Heritage Area Association (MHAA), its mission is to educate about, and advocate for, the preservation of the historic, cultural and scenic resources in the Northern Virginia Piedmont.
and removing the second one-line paragraph about the name change from the lead. Then, somewhere appropriate in the later sections, something like this:
- In August 2020, the MHAA changed its name to the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association (VPHA). According to VPHA Chairman C. Dulany Morison, "... we have decided to respectfully retire our name and adopt one that more accurately captures the broad scope of our mission to highlight all the diverse history, from the time of the Native Americans through the 20th century, that has taken place in the Heritage Area."
followed by the Loudoun Times ref (4) and the Loudoun Now ref (5) that were used for the second paragraph in the lead. You could instead use {{Quote}}
for the quote and attribute it with ref 4, placing the ref 5 cite after "changed its name". —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 06:53, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
