It doesn't sound that unethical tbh
[edit]No one was forced to do anything, it was all voluntary and informed consent. They didn't force feed the subjects, they just gave them access to as much candy as they desired. The results were/are valuable and important. The only reason this gets called out as unethical is because the subjects suffered the very medical condition being studied and they were categorized as low intelligence.
