[edit]This article needs more sources and citations and also improvement in neutrality. I remove controversial information about her present sutuation: please provide sources for that. A.J. 11:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- OK, i found many articles about this, but article still lacks neutrality even when all info is true. A.J. 12:01, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion?
[edit]Speedy deletion tag is a complete non-sense. You should try AfD procedure, which undoubtedly will end as Keep. M0RD00R 09:35, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Is she missing? No source. Andres (talk) 14:01, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Her vocal range was 4 octaves not 5
[edit]According to Bogusław Kaczyński Violetta didn't have 5 octaves. Here's that interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uZHKcASe_c —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.10.101.161 (talk) 20:38, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- Villas' vocal range is from E2 to E7. Kaczyński didn't know all Violetta's recordings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.34.216.90 (talk) 14:06, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- then it's a question which source is more reliable. I' rather believe Kaczyński as he's a well known music expert —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.7.160.88 (talk) 08:48, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Villas had 5 octaves range, she was compared to Yma Sumac by Rene Boudier, (he knew her Ave Maria, and wrote in Les Lettres Francaise) accordign to him Villas range was slightly higher than Sumac. Maybe when Villas was old she had 4 octaves.I believe Boudeir, Kaczynski is a music journalsit, not a musicicologist, etc. Villas' best range was 4 octaves, but it doesn't mean she was limited to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.58.127.40 (talk) 21:43, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
- Actually Bogusław Kaczyński is a musicologist as well as an educated pianist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.43.160.135 (talk) 00:39, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Violetta Villas' range was at least five octaves: she had an A7 as much as she had an A2. C3-A7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=werjy93Y48c | A2-D6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXN1iamsvMM ——CPGACoast (talk) 11:28, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
