Planned Edits
[edit]Hello. I plan to edit this page to add more biography details and details about Priessnitz's practice, and his institution in Graefenberg. The sources I plan to use are currently in my Sandbox! If you have any comments/suggestions about these sources, please let me know. I am writing this article as part of a class (140.106 - sorry this is kind of late!) - I will be adding all the edits today Azhu8 (talk) 05:44, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
More on Preissnitz's midlife/late life
[edit]I think that the article could use some improvement by adding more about his personal life during the time Grafenburg was open. It covers the parts about his clinic and the impact he had on medicine very well! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Schen95 (talk • contribs) 16:27, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- I couldn't find much about his personal life in the sources I picked, but I'm sure that would make a great topic for future edits! Thanks! Azhu8 (talk) 17:19, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Organization
[edit]I think that the article does good justice to the wide ranging aspects of his cures and the many different forms it took. I would recommend above all that you change up the organization of the article. The largest part is labelled "Success" but it contains things like: critiques of his work and his death. I would suggest breaking it up into a few sections under the heading of "Later Life" or something like that. I think that would also help to contextualize some of the content as well. The part that actually discusses success could be included in the legacy part, but maybe that's not the best place. Overall it's looking really good though. Mgood13 (talk) 23:24, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
I agree that the organization of the article can be improved in order to make reading easier. You talk about his medical theories, which I feel merit their own section, as they don't seem to fall under the category of biography. Also the current size of the Success subsection is a bit unwieldy and seems too large in contrast to his Early Life section. Overall though, I feel your content was very solid and provided a lot of good information about his life. ArjavS (talk) 05:36, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
As the other people have said, create more sections. I would probably make one specifically for "hydropathy" if you think it's such a large part of his career. Otherwise, a well written expansion! Lethalbehemoth (talk) 09:04, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll rework the article into more sections before next class! Azhu8 (talk) 17:16, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
