Usually place of birth and citizenship are dealt with straightaway in the first line of the article, the current text of the article seems too convoluted, besides all that it states he is ¨oficially an Irish citizen¨, can someone be an Irish citizen unoficially?

As a biographical article this one needs to be carefully watched to ensure neutrality. If you have ideas for improving it, please discuss here before making extensive changes.
