[edit]I have been able to resolve the issues with Victor's article. Thank you for any further advice. Elizabeth Abeyta --Vdisuvero (talk) 00:54, 31 March 2009 (UTC) --Vdisuvero (talk) 17:21, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Please tell me how to resolve the remaining issues with the article. There is not a conflict of interest.
The content of this article was provided by the offices of V di Suvero but not created by him... it was
created by myself, a designer who is also working on several websites for Victor's offices.
I will also link his article to the wikipedia article about his brother Mark di Suvero and others in which Victor is mentioned.
What else do I need to do? Thank you for your help, e abeyta
Hello Fabrictramp- I'm so glad that the victor di suvero page is still up, but I'm wondering what I need to do for you to resolve the remaining issues. Please let me know. I thank you so much for your help. cheers Vdisuvero (talk) 23:06, 30 August 2009 (UTC) Vdisuvero (talk) 12:29, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- We've had the discussion about conflict of interest before. You do work for Victor. It's in your financial interest to portray him in the most positive light possible, so it would be very difficult for you to have unbiased edits. Please read WP:COI for more on this. Thanks!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 14:41, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your help Fabrictramp-- As an independent contractor for di Suvero I am a web designer but not a PR person and am using only factual material. The books that were published by di Suvero as well as his biography can be supported by research into his life history. He HAS published over 20 books with Pennywhistle Press, a company he has owned and managed for more than a decade and which is still viable. He is still involved in the mining business. He has founded several humanitarian organizations for which he is well known. Is there anything else you require to keep this article posted? Please let me know. Thank you for your time and help. New copyright concerns
[edit]According to a note left at [1], this material may not have been originally published by Pennywhistle, who gave the permission referenced above, but rather by the Gale Authors Biographical Series. Several times, this is suggested at that note: "I didn't write the information. It came from the GALE Authors Biographical Series", "I only put the information there, but didn't write the article itself. The information is from a neutral and very reliable source."
I need to seek out a contributor who is able to access the volume in question to compare the text. If Gale published the material first, it is their permission we need to publish the text. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:55, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Just to update, I've asked for assistance at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Librarians. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:10, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- I just checked the Contemporary Authors Autobiography Series, Volume 26 for copyright infringement. The article Victor di Suvero (pp. 65-84) is a first person narrative by the author, and in no way resembles the text of the Wikipedia article. Since I was checking solely for copyright infringement, I did not cross-check the Wikipedia article for factual accuracy based on the CAAS article. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help! -- Clifflandis (talk) 23:25, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
