Manchester United

Olympics
[edit]About the 2016 Olympics, he turned down the offer to participate, as did many Swedish players. Alas, he wasn't bumped out of the team.

Manchester United contract
[edit]I have created a separate section for Lindelof's Manchester United career now, but please do not update his current club until 1 July. Manchester United have announced the completion of the transfer, but they also say that his contract with them does not start until 1 July. – PeeJay 18:12, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

Victor Lindelöf → Victor Nilsson Lindelöf – Same as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. If he has two surnames both should be shown since neither is more than the other. In Sweden he’s always referred to as Victor Nilsson Lindelöf Jonteemil (talk) 23:09, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose – as per WP:COMMONNAME, we should use the name used in reliable English language sources, even if that isn't the officially "correct" version. The current title is the name he is routinely referred to with in English language media and by his club. Different versions of people's names can exist in different language and cultural contexts; as this is the English version of the article, what he is referred to as in Swedish sources is not relevant to our title. Debut
[edit]Lindelöf actually made his debut for Västerås SK in October 2009. Game report from Swedish FA. He also played more than one game in the 2010 season. I found 10 game reports with Lindelöf included from the 2010 season (game 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) Although fotbolltransfers.com and elitefootball.com says 9 games. The first one is original research by me, so probably should say 9 games in the article. --Fredde (talk) 16:58, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
Irrelevant Information?
[edit]Not sure how it is relevant that Lindelof played all 90 minutes in the 9-0 win over Southampton or why this is included in the article. Perhaps because it was record-equalling?--ManUnitedLemur (talk) 00:11, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
