"His cousin was Major Herbert Samek O.B.E. who was born in Vienna, Austria in 1919. He fled to England in 1938 aged 19 in order to escape persecution at the hands of the Nazis. His mother and sister were murdered in Bergen-Belsenextermination camp. In 1943 he joined up - having previously been rejected on the grounds that he was working in a reserved occupation. Commissioned into the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, he fought against the Japanese in Burma from 1944-1945. After the war he was briefly CO of the reconstituted Border Regiment in Carlisle. He left the army in 1947 with the rank of Major. He was a former Chairman of the Association of Jewish Ex-Service men and women ("AJEX")."
I've moved this here from the article as the life story of Oliver's cousin is not relevant in Oliver's article. IF - and it's a big if based on the info here - this guy is notable in any way, he needs his own article to be written, with independent sources to verify his notability above and beyond having family killed in concentration camps and serving in the army, those factors alone don't make him notable.
