I had to resort to his bio on Risembool Rangers (Vic's official fanclub) for the teacher part, and it said he was a Speech and Drama teacher in Florida before he was a police officer. "Mignogna taught drama and speech in Jacksonville, Florida" -- As far as I can tell, this is false. None of the citations here support it, and the most relevant thing to talk about should really be his work in Lynchburg, Virginia as a Director/Producer for music videos at the local church (per his resume). The only online references I can find that talk about Vic working in Jacksonville seem to be sites that copy directly from here, even including the same citation to the same fan-made bio (oddly, neither the archived version of that page, nor the current one make any reference to teaching OR Florida). I only bring this up because it seems to be confusing some folks on Twitter right now, lol... Not a Wikipedia editor myself; hope someone can clarify. Brothers Song FMA (English version)

Shouldn't info based on this song be in the article too? He recorded the English version, which later became popular on the Internet. Age

Vic doesn't want people to know his age. I think we need to make that clear. At all the conventions he goes to, he never tells his age or tells what year he was born. The Quidam 22:39, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Well if he didn't want that, then maybe he shouldn't've gotten a YouTube profile that shows his age is 44 for all the internet to see. While it is certainly possible to try to assertain his age, Mr. Mignogna does seem to prefer his age not be mentioned or brought up. As I understand it the general idea when doing biographical information about a living person is to try to not cause offense. Certainly we all have things in our past or parts of our lives that we wish to have remain private. It seems that if he prefers to not have it mentioned it should be left off, if someone really wants to know that can go to other sites and find it. If Vic doesn't want his age known, mayhaps we should remove the birth year a well and only leave the month day. It's pretty easy to figure out his age if the year is supplied.

I just want it for the record that his full age is listed on his IMDB profile and I'm not going for this "He dosen't want it lets get his fan cronies to edit wikipedia for his own gratification." I also think celebrities don't want people with cameras following them when they go to the gas station but thats still going to happen. So should we cowtow to a voice actor? Leave the age and date in place; information should not cease to be available for such a personal inconvenience. Removal of section.

I want to make this very clear. Vic Mignogna did a parody WoW commercial that he released on his youtube channel; this was not put out by Blizzard, and he was not paid for it. I'm pretty sure the production of the second season has been confirmed, generally though we don't try to predict things about future shows. While its likely Vic will have the same role, its far too early to be thinking about listing that here. What who said? I wouldn't matter even if Vic said he was going to play Edward again, because it would still be speculation. I don't think they've even announced the Japanese cast, let alone talk about licensing an English version. The exact title of the IMDB credit is: "Street Fighter 2, Victory: Volume VIII, Fatal Confrontations (2001) (V)", ANN specifies that its the ADV dub in the credit; it also says "he U.S. version is released by Manga Entertainment and dubbed by Animaze, while the U.K. version is released and dubbed by ADV Films.". Is this a true fact?

Is it true that when Vic Mignogna does the voice of Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, he uses helium on his voice when he does one of Edward's rants whenever Edward gets called short?

I want to put this in the article if it's true.

The helium balloon trick was something he started doing at one of the conventions. You can look at youtube 'vic mignogna helium rants', and the earliest one was around 2008. This was mostly a joke. I thought it obvious. I also thought my edit history of this page would make that even more obvious. Apparently not. Besides the fact that I (other than reverting vandalism) do not involve myself with adding content to this page as it may be viewed as COI since Vic is a friend of mine.

That aside, me getting valid information from Vic to ensure the article isn't skewed or simply a list of anime dubbing roles isn't a problem. And here's why. (1) I have NO intentions of adding it. (2) I would expect no one else would add it without finding appropriate references to back up the additions. And (3) since I feel I have a COI on this, (as Vic is a friend of mine) see #1 - anything suggested would be listed on the Talk page here.

Fans of Vic's many roles in different series created a fan club for Vic. These fans are called Risembool Rangers and the fan club is open to anyone who wants to join.

The Fairly Odd Parents Movie has been aired and Vic Mignogna was not in the credits list. The source information at IMDB is incorrect. IMDB has been questioned as a "reliable source" for Wikipedia's purposes in the past. In this instance, it is incorrect. I suggest that this information be removed until a more reliable source can confirm it as a role Vic Mignogna has played. Like I said, the movie has now aired and he is not in it, nor in the credits. primary workplaces in the anime world

I wanted to discuss

1) primarily known for his work for ADV Films, Funimation Entertainment, and Viz Media.

2) primarily known for his work for ADV Films, Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Funimation Entertainment, OkraTron 5000, Seraphim Digital and Viz Media.

Could someone provide evidence that he had some lead/major roles in the Bang Zoom productions? I just don't picture him being in the same acting pool of the usual L.A. actors like Crispin Freeman, Kari Wahlgren, Stephanie Sheh, Steve Blum and Wendee Lee.

OkraTron 5000 is Chris Sabat's studio where their productions point to Funimation, so all those Dragonball Z and One Piece songs are still more strongly related to Funimation than to OkraTron itself.

As for Seraphim Digital, that's possible he might have some roles, but are they big ones on the level of his lead in Ouran High School Host Club?

I'm sure he's worked for a lot of companies, as that's one of his major goals in the anime world, but that's already detailed in the bio.

Could someone please review Vic's roles in the Naruto video games? From Naruto Ultimate Impact, I see that from Tobi that Tobi's real name is Obito Uchiha, and he calls himself Madara Uchiha, and that there's a byline on that wiki article saying Mignogna voices young Obito. So in the game itself, which distinct characters appear and which incarnation does he voice?

Article Cleanup

this article is baffling to read and just a wall of references, when reliable sources are being ignored. At this point, the age thing doesn't matter. In the coming days, I will be going through the article to make it read like an actual article and cut down on the unessary references and clean up the character section. You can simplify the references to those on BTVA, but ONLY on the check marked roles as those have been confirmed by their screenshots of credits. If you want to trim down the filmography to his most notable roles, ones where he has a major character or a starring role, that's fine. But don't assume reliable sources are being ignored. I am almost certain he had a voice in the dlc for borderlands 2 in the tourge dlc he was a quest giver or something, can anyone confirm or deny?

Birthday

Why is it not listed? It's confirmed on his IMDB and his Youtube channel. Sure, he has expressed interest in it not being public, but we're an encyclopedia; if we left it just because he didn't want it shown, we'd have to remove every fact that offends other people on the wiki.
