Lots of inaccuracy

I think there's a lot of inaccuracy in Versace Lines section of the article: it is my understanding that the following lines exist:

Gianni Versace (this is a pret-a-porter, or ready-to-wear, collection of high-fashion clothes which is presented four times a year - twice for men's and twice for women's - at Milan fashion week and sold through Versace boutiques and high-end department stores.

Versace Jeans Couture - this is the diffusion range of jeans, t-shirts etc. sold mostly in department stores and small boutiques.

Atelier Versace - the limited numbers, to-order, 'haute couture' style collection of women's eveningwear (not discontinued, because still featured on their website)

Versace Limited - bags and butthole

Versace Home Collection - furnishings

There are then the beauty/fragrance, eyewear, and watch/jewellery licenses, which don't really constitute 'lines' in their own right.

Versace Sport, Versus, Versace Classic, Versace Collection, Versace Young, and Versace Intensive are all, to the best of my knowledge, discontinued.

I believe this information can be verified by looking at the Versace website, and changes should be made to the Versace Lines section of the article because it is currently very muddled.

The idea that Versace became a household name after Elizabeth Hurley wore one of his dresses is ridiculous. The brand was already rather better known than Miss Hurley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 08:41, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Versace Sport line was stopped in 2008 - was it due to "large counterfacting"? Though presumably the author meant "widespread counterfeiting".

Ok, I do not think that the mention of the lines should belong in the article. This reads like an ad. Geraldshields11 (talk) 19:36, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Donatella committing suicide

I think the information about Donatella committing suicide in 9/06 is false and should be deleted. 5/21/07

= Hi! I would really like it if you could find more info on Versace. I'm very interested in fashion and designers. If you know something about Versace that is not in this page, please edit it. Thanks! ==]]

Why don't you buy some stuff and learn about it. While you're doing that you can learn about Versace from the people who work in the Boutique.

The grammar in this article is atrocious 70.137.142.207 12:07, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

The whole section on Versace eyeglasses reads like a PR release. The versace eyeglass frames citation links to some marketing site for an online shop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.12.106 (talk) 06:06, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Versace which originates from the ancient Greek region of Calabria, actually has its roots in the Greek surname Versakis but has been Latinized to Versace....123.211.192.43 (talk) 05:58, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

I attempted to clean-up this article...

While this article still needs some serious work, and plenty more citations, I attempted to fix some of the terrible grammar errors. If you plan on editing this article, pay special attention to the "Going Public" section. As it was worded by the former author, the meaning was messy and jumbled, and I could find no information to clarify the subject. Thanks --KristaCalla 15:50, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you KristaCalla for your comment. I changed the section name to IPO. Geraldshields11 (talk) 19:38, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

"Versace is the most famous design company in the world."

Where is this coming from? That needs to be taken off there unless you can provide some sort of basis. <unsigned>

I agree that it should be changed. Advert language without a source. Geraldshields11 (talk) 19:46, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Size Zero o muerte!

The Versace heir has severe anorexia and is in intensive care with bad outlook, at least some tabloid wrote that yesterday. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.131.210.162 (talk) 13:05, 30 March 2007 (UTC).

This in BLP issues and should not be mentioned in the Versace company article. What is your news source? Geraldshields11 (talk) 19:49, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
