As usual, the initiator is someone merely passing by and doesn't bother to write anything. I would suggest to find more reliable sources and not merge. She looks notable enough to me, it's just that the article is in bad state. (Come on, it has been almost 30 years since Eternal were popular. But the article gets 50 views per day on average nevertheless.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 05:20, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I, too, am against merging. But it would be nice if you expand the article a little bit or make it neater looking at least. Now most of it talks about Eternal and is redundant. Maybe redundant, I am not sure. But most of the lead section should be moved to somewhere lower down. --Moscow Connection (talk) 07:35, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree to removing the tags. (I should have done it myself when I saw what the user had done, but I don't like to argue. Kéllé Bryan was an easy case, but this article didn't look too good.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 07:35, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the tags and re-arranged the article a bit. But it still needs work, in my opinion. The second paragraph of the lead should be incorporated in the "Career" section and then the lead should be expanded with a short overview of Vernie's career. And it would be nice if more references were added in order to demonstrate her notability. (As the article is now, the LGBTQ+ controversy looks to be her best claim for notability... But for sure it is not so.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 08:05, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t think this ‘controversy’ should be listed under Vernie. It is an Eternal issue, brought to the public by Louise and Kelly. Why isn’t it under Eternal Controversy? MOleary7 (talk) 18:59, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
